We are leaders, builders, and operators who saw things in our professional lives that we could not un-see.
Collective Kairos represents our shared conviction that the world of work needs to be redesigned to make human flourishing the point.
What is Collective Kairos?
We call what we’re building Collective Kairos. Kairos is a Greek word for the moment when circumstance meets opportunity, when something new becomes possible. That is how it felt when the Founders met. And still does. When enough of these transformative, collective moments happen, real change becomes possible.
“Human flourishing is not a nice-to-have alongside performance. It is the essential multiplier.”
We are here to help leaders build organizations where that is operationally true.
Not only as a philosophy, but as a practice.
The Collective
Each of us arrived here from a different path.
What brought us together was not a business case. It was a shared and unavoidable belief in a better way of working.
Wisdom Activator · Culture Architect
Three decades working at the place where people, leading, and the possibility of something better all meet. Helen has a gift for hearing what the room isn’t saying and making connections between systems that others haven’t joined up yet. She came to Collective Kairos not because she joined something new, but because she recognised the conversation she had always been part of. She splits her time between Canada and Australia and finds wisdom as readily at a dive site as in a deep conversation.
Change Practitioner · Teacher of Presence
Thirty years helping organisations navigate change has given Jan something beyond expertise: a finely tuned sense of when human-centred work is being lived versus when it is only being talked about. She knows the difference. She is a certified Teacher of Presence, and some of her best leadership lessons came from working with horses, where earning trust from a large flight animal turns out to require exactly the same things as earning it from a human. She also sings in the Kelowna Rock Choir. She brings all of it.
Operations Leadership Practitioner
Kevin spent three decades leading in operational environments where the consequences of leadership were immediate and real. Over time, he came to see that organizations don’t simply produce results. They shape people. When he ended that chapter of his career, his daughters told him they were happy to have him back. Realizing what work had quietly taken from the people he loved became a defining moment. He has a gift for seeing how leadership, relationships, and the design of work shape one another, and for translating those connections into everyday practices that help people and organisations flourish and perform.
Program Strategist · Change Architect
Twenty-five years bridging the gap between strategy and reality taught Tiffiny one thing above all else: when a plan fails, it is almost never a planning problem. It is a human one. She grew up on the Saskatchewan prairies, where the horizon teaches you that the distance between where you are and where you want to be is just a matter of moving forward. A hiker, a gardener, and a firm advocate for keeping the human in every system, including the AI-powered ones.
OD Consultant · Coach · Co-creator
Thirty-five years as an OD consultant, coach, leader, facilitator and educator working with global teams at all levels to adapt to a fast-changing world. This has led Ian to see a recurring ‘moment’. “We knew what to do: we didn’t do it: too difficult!” Ian’s passion is to co-create work environments where people find meaning, grow, flourish and are willing and able to act, even when difficult, leading to long term success. Ian is based between Portugal, UK and Italy, spends time with family in the US and Ireland and enjoys long walks in the mountains with his dog Dougal.
Performance Architect
Thirty plus years of operations leadership in the tech industry where pushing boundaries is a way of life. Undaunted by hard challenges, Melissa learned how to question the status quo because she observed how quickly it led to mediocrity, the opposite of what companies intended to achieve. Of course, when you ask the hard questions, you become responsible for finding new solutions. This approach has shaped Melissa’s entire career in both F500 and Startup where she served as an executive leader with expertise in both company and human performance, specializing in People Operations. Melissa cares deeply about the human condition and gets involved in activities designed to improve quality of life.
Connection Builder · Speaker
Thirty-three years in the federal public service, more than twenty of them as an executive, gave Earl the conviction he now builds everything on. It was never relationships versus results. Relationships are how results get delivered. He led teams of five and teams of a hundred and fifty, in person and distributed across Canada, long before anyone called it hybrid. Then he left and set out on a mission to increase connection and trust at work. He came to Collective Kairos because that mission was always going to need more than one person. He is a believer in blue mind theory. His happy place is on the water, boating, fishing, or under it with a mask on.
